Long awaited and over far too quickly! 

Our 3rd annual meeting took place from June 27th to 30th, 2024 at the Landhotel Waldmühle in beautiful Upper Austria. Around 60 people on their 30+ motorcycles found their way to us to go on joint trips and spend cozy evenings together. We are particularly happy that our friends from France and the Czech Republic made the long journey!

Already on the day of arrival there were many smiling faces, warm hugs and lively discussions over coffee, summer spritzers and beer on the hotel terrace. Even a little thunderstorm did not spoil the exuberant mood and so the first evening was well spent among friends with music and the best cuisine.

(We'd like to thank the entire team at the “Waldmühle”, who once again spoiled us with their great location and excellent food and drinks!)

Our first ride

On the second day we hit the road! Led by our Moth and with the security provided by our fantastic team of “mobile barriers”, we drove a beautiful route along the Roßfeld Panorama Road:

Wildenhag – Mondsee – Thalgau – Krispl – Hallein – Obersalzberg – Bayerisch Gmain –
Freilassing – Laufen – Mattsee – Straßwalchen – Frankenmarkt – Wildenhag

 Even though the weather gods were not quite on our side in the morning hours, the sun finally came out on the panoramic road and accompanied us for the rest of the day (according to the motto: “When angels travel…” 😉 )

A real highlight, in addition to the breathtaking landscape and gorgeous curves, was the visit to the “Milestones of Mobility” at the “Fahr(t)raum Mattsee”. In this museum, we were able to admire lovingly restored vintage cars, aircraft and agricultural vehicles and equipment. The car and flight simulators also provided a lot of entertainment, allowing us to demonstrate our driving and flying “skills” in the old machines. 

Auch der heutige Abend stand schließlich ganz unter dem Motto “Genussvoller Ausklang” und bot wieder schöne Stunden, angeregte Gespräche und gute Unterhaltung.

Bikes, Bends and lots of Fun

Day 3 lured us back into the beautiful Upper Austrian and Salzburg landscapes. Moth led us through the country in fantastic weather on winding roads with beautiful views on the following route:

Wildenhag – Mondsee – Henndorf am Wallersee – Obertrum am See – Mattighofen – Schalchen –
Maria Schmolln – Sankt Johann am Walde – Pöndorf – Frankenmarkt – Wildenhag

A very special experience awaited us in Mattighofen: a visit to the KTM Motohall. The interactive exhibition, where we could not only see vehicle parts, but also feel and "experience" them, took us through the history of the world-famous motorcycle brand. There was something interesting for everyone to find and the old motorcycles in particular were fascinating even for non-KTM owners. As a fun "treat", you could even sit in an X-Bow (or rather squeeze in, this thing is pretty tight!) and get a taste of racing!

We returned to the hotel around 3:30 p.m., but the day was far from over! 

Our last evening together began with a delicious suckling pig meal including numerous side dishes, before the lead singer of the Austrian country band “ARIZONA” provided good entertainment. We enjoyed the warm summer evening with well-known country and rock songs, coupled with a bit of line dancing. Later in the evening, our tombola was very popular and the V.I.B.A. bar was also very well attended. 🙂

Just like last year we were treated to an incredible cheese platter and almost everyone found space in their stomach to try the delicious national and international cheeses.

After a long, exciting evening, on Sunday it was time to say goodbye to old and new friends and to individually head home. We are delighted to be able to look back on a few wonderful days and hope that our dear Manfred is also looking down on our great community from above, happy and full of pride.
